High speed falcons and hawks are able to scatter flocks of gulls and pigeons in seconds. When done repetitively the gulls and/ or pigeons learn that the area is a no-fly zone, removing the problems associated with having these birds reside.
SCARING METHOD
Falconry in pest control is scare only method. What this means is the falcons or hawks are trained to patrol or circle the defined area and scare the pest species away. This prevents them residing in the area. Falcons and Hawks in pest control do not kill the pest.
When to use falconry?
- Falconry and hawking programs are ideal for open spaces, such as town squares as well as buildings that require the most discreet bird deterrent measures as there is no physical installation.
- Falconry in an area with a high population of pigeons/ gulls is very effective when combined with other bird deterrent methods.
