Parking & toll charges
PLEASE NOTE: If parking is not provided by the customer, parking costs will be added to the bill. Any toll/ congestion charges will also be added to the bill.
Cancellations & Cancellation Fees.
1. Cancellations (not including heat treatments) with less than 24 hours notice (not including weekends) incur a charge of £75 plus vat or 25% of the treatment price, which ever is the higher. You must cancel either by speaking to office staff in office hours (9-5pm Mon-Fri) OR you can email with a minimum of 24 hours notice.
Please note our current minimum call out charge is £75 plus vat (Subject to change and director discretion).
A last minute email and voice-mails do not constitute a cancellation and you WILL be charged cancellation fee if these terms are not met.
2. We understand that at last minute things can change and you may not be able to make the appointment, so we are happy to wave the cancellation charge providing the job is re-booked within 7 days (Please note calsue 2 above does not apply for free of charge follow-up visits! And you will be charged cancellation if we are notified later than 24 hours [not including weekends] before the booking).
3. No shows are treated as a cancellation without notice, therefore cancellation fee is due.
4. Our technicians will wait for up to 30 minutes within the given timeslot for you to arrive.
If you are more than 30 minutes late we have the right to cancel the appointment and charge the cancellation fee.
4.b. Alternatively we may charge a waiting fee if we wait longer than 30 minutes to be agreed with client.
Heat treatment deposits-
A non-refundable deposit has to be paid before carrying out the treatment. This reserves the machines and staff to carry out the treatment. This deposit covers the cost of cancellations and is NON-REFUNDABLE.
Cherry picker cancellations within 7 days of schedules work commencement are charged at £250.00+vat due to the costs incurred to us by these actions- (please note: it may be possible to re-schedule free of charge depending on our supplier).
Our prices are per treatment (not visit) as sold over the phone. Most calls are recorded and at this point a verbal contract is made. You will have a copy of treatment specific terms on the back of your paperwork including the guarantee offered.
Your service may require more work than originally quoted over the phone in which case you will be quoted on the job or at a later date. You have no obligation to accept these quotes. These are a recommendation, however failure to follow advice may result in any guarantees being void.
It may be necessary to book an additional visit to re-treat the problem, this service is chargeable at a discounted rate.
Reports & Invoices- A report and invoice will be provided via email with our call outs as standard.
Payment is due at time of visit unless agreed prior to visit with the office.
JG Environmental Ltd accept cash (on the day), cheque, BAC’s (if agreed prior to treatment) and card payments (up front at no extra cost). If you wish to pay by card on the day of treatment there is a small charge of 2% of the total bill added to cover the cost of these transactions.

Information about bird proofing works-
JG Environmental as standard provide a 12 month guarantee for spiking, netting and pin and wire systems.
This does not include damage caused by third party or vandalism.
Information about your rodent treatment/s-
Mice & Rats: The technician has laid a combination of different edible poison baits as well as possibly a layer of contact powder/ gel. These are designed to be ingested by the rodents and will kill them off. This process can take up to 2-3 weeks. After the period of 3 weeks if the problem persists you need to contact 01753 208220 in order to book your second visit, using the same time frames we also include a third visit if necessary, all visits must be carried out within 3 months of the initial visit otherwise a call-out charge will be applied. As part of our service we include a limited amount of proofing- this involves the blocking of the entrance points the technician deems are used by the rodents in question, in effort to prevent any further entry. Some of our poisons hold an ingredient which encourages mummification in the rodents as to prevent decay.
If you are unsure about any of the products we have used please contact the office for any datasheets. If the technician recommends that the problem is out of scope, and therefore not covered by our standard treatment he is able to confirm a price with the office to carry out the work or book it in for an additional date. You are in your rights to ask to speak to the office about any recommendations or work being carried out.
Squirrels/ Glis glis: We lay a combination of baits and traps for squirrel problems. It is highly recommended you check these at least every other day. Once a trap has been activated we ask you to then wait for max. 3-4 days and see if the squirrels are still there (i.e. sounds can still be heard or you can see them etc), as it is possible there are several squirrels inhabiting the area. Once there are no signs the squirrels are still present please call the office on 01753 208220 in order to book your follow-up visit in which we will remove the caught squirrels and traps.
On your initial visit the technician will advise on blocking up/ proofing the squirrels access hole, they should also give you a quote for blocking this up if it is something we can carry out. If you wish to take us up on the no obligations quotation we strongly recommend this is carried out when we remove the traps as this will allow minimal time for another family of squirrels to move in. Datasheets for any poisons used are available from the office. (We recommend you contact use before 10 days have passed since the first visit in order to book in your second otherwise there is risk of other pests infesting any trapped decaying bodies).
Rodent Guarantee: 3 months (standard guarantee). Our guarantee is that we will visit up to 3 times in order to eradiate your rodent problems. Usually we are able to do this before a third visit is necessary. All the visits must be used within 3 months of the first visit or the guarantee is void. Please also take note that unless all our technicians recommendations have been met JG Environmental LTD reserve the right to refuse future visits until this is carried out, and if this is after the guarantee period of 3 months this may be at an additional charge. JG Environmental LTD do not automatically book in second or third visits, it is down to the customer to organise this after the recommended time periods have been realised.
Information about your insect treatment/s:
You may see insect activity for several days after the treatment. This is not unusual and may be due to newly hatched or previously hidden insects which have not yet come into contact with the insecticide. These insects will eventually die but can be treated with a normal insecticidal spray (aerosol) which can be purchased from any supermarket, hardware shop or chemist.
PLEASE ALLOW RECOMMENDED TIME PERIODS BEFORE CALLING TO BOOK SECOND VISITS. IT MUST BE STRESSED THAT IT CAN TAKE SEVERAL WEEKS FOR THE TREATMENT TO BE FULLY EFFECTIVE AND IT IS LIKELY THAT OCCUPIERS MAY CONTINUE TO BE BITTEN. HOWEVER THE PROBLEM SHOULD BE REDUCING IN THIS PERIOD.
Insect Post Treatment:
How to get rid of Bedbugs Fleas/ Moths/ Mites/ Other Insects:
To achieve the best results from a treatment it is important to carry out the following steps:
1. After 10 days, thoroughly vacuum clean all floors and upholstered furniture to remove animal hair, debris, eggs and pupae. Pay particular attention to known harbourages such as bedrooms and other sleeping areas. (You must then dispose of the vacuum bag in a plastic bag in an outside bin)
2. Remove all bed linen and clothing from infested areas and wash them on the hottest wash possible
3. Empty wardrobes, drawers etc and wash the contents on the hottest wash possible
4. Remove all children, pets and other people during the treatment and ensure that aquariums are removed or covered. (Fish are particularly susceptible to insecticides). Also, cover or remove any open food. You can return 3 hours after the treatment has been completed.
Adults, children and pets should not be allowed back into the house until the treatment has completely dried. This is normally within a few hours in a well ventilated property.
If your problem with bedbugs/ fleas/ mites etc. is particularly persistent then we may recommend a fogging and smoke treatment. In this case the occupants must leave the property for 12 hours- this treatment is at additional charge and is used as a means to speed up any other treatments we are carrying out. The treatments for these insects usually involves using a combination of powders/ gel treatments. This may also be combined with a spray/ fogging depending on the level of infestation.
Usually after 4 weeks the insects will have all died off. If the problem persists you must call 01753 208220 within 3 months in order to book in a follow-up free of charge treatment. If outside this time period it will be chargeable.
Insect Guarantee: 3 months (standard guarantee).
Our guarantee is that we will visit up to 2 times in order to eradiate your insect problems. Please note, we do not guarantee to eradicate the insects in a single visit. Generally a follow-up visit will be necessary, especially with the extremely resistant species, the ‘bed bug’. In rare cases bed bugs can persist beyond several visits depending on the specific species and level of infestation. Both visits must be used within 3 months of the first visit or the guarantee is void.
Please also take note that unless all our technicians recommendations have been met JG Environmental LTD reserve the right to refuse future visits until this is carried out, and if this is after the guarantee period of 3 months this may be at an additional charge. JG Environmental LTD do not automatically book in second visits, it is down to the customer to organise this after the recommended time periods have been realised.
